Oh mann, das war ein sehr sehr sehr verrueckter Tag... :-)

Windgeschwindigkeit war hoeher als 100km/h und genau desswegen hab ich zum Jay gesagt: Wir MUESSEN raus im Sturm spielen!!!

Haben die Huskies mit uns genommen und sind los und hatten seeeehhhhr viel Spass...

Nach 2 Stunden sind Daine und Jane mit Schneeschuhe los um nach uns zu suchen, da sie nicht gluaben konnten, dass wir freiwillig so lang draussen geblieben sind.

Este fue un dia muy muy muy pero muy loco... :-)

Velocidad del viento fue mas q 100km/h  y fue por eso q le dije Jay: TENEMOS Q salir a jugar en la tormenta!!!

Sacamos a los Huskies y nos fuimos y la pasamos muuuy chevere...

Despues de 2 horas Daine y Jane salieron con raquetas de nieve para buscarnos porq no creyeron q nos quedamos afuera tanto tiempo a voluntad.

Oh man, this was a very very very crazy day... :-)

Over a 100km/h wind and that's why I said to Jay: We HAVE to go outsinde and play in the storm!!!

So we took the Huskies and left and we had a lot of fun...

After 2 hours Daine and Jane left the house with snowshoes to look for us because they didn't believe that we stayed outside for so long voluntarily.

Und das hier passierte, wenn man sich fuer ein paar sekunden nicht mehr bewegt hat. Ich schwoer, dass er dort nicht laenger als eine Minute lag...

Green Gardens, NL

Green Gardens ist ein Wandergebiet an der Kueste bei den Tablelands suedlich von hier. Die Tablelands sind ziemlich platte Berge, die aus einem Gestein bestehen, auf dem nix waechst. D.h. im Sommer sind sie komplett braun, wie eine kleine Wueste im Gros Morne National park.

Ich habe mit Brian und Corine eine kleine Schneeschuhwanderung gemacht.

Green Gardens is a nice hiking area close to the Tablelands south from here. The Tablelands are pretty flat mountains out of a special kind of rocks where nothing grows on. That means in the summertime they are completly brown and look like a little desert in the mittle of the Gros Morne National Park.

I did a little snowshoe hike with Brian and Corine.

Green Gardens es un sitio para caminar al lado de los Tablelands mas al sur de aca. Los Tablelands son unas montanas bastante planas hecho de una piedra q no deja crecer nada encima. Asi los Tablelands se ven todos cafe en verano, como un desierto en la mitad del Gros Morne National Park.

Fui a hacer una caminata con raquetas de nieve con Brian y Corine.

Da es Winter ist und alles zugeschneit war, hatten wir bissle Schwierigkeiten den Weg zu finden. Oder besser gesagt, wir haben ihn 3 Mal gefunden und jedes Mal wieder verloren :-)

Because it's winter and everything is covered with snow, it was really hard to find the trail. Actually we found it 3 times and lost it every single time again :-)

Porq estamos en invierno y todo esta tapado con nieve, se nos hizo muy dificil encontrar el camino. De hecho lo encontramos 3 veces para perderlo despues otra vez :-)

Wir sind ca. 2 h lang zu den Kliffen gelaufen...

We walked more or less 2 h to the cliffs...

Caminaos como dos horas hasta los acantilados...

...haben dort eine kleine Vesperpause mit Feuer gemacht...

...where we had a little lunch break with a nice and warm fire....

...donde descansamos un rato, comimos un poquito y disfrutamos la fogata q hicimos...

...und sind dann ca. 2 1/2 h wieder zurueck zum Auto bei den Tablelands gelaufen.

...and then we walked more or less 2 1/2 h back to the car by the Tablelands.

...y despues caminamos otras 2 horas y media para regresar al carro al lado de los Tablelands.

Sally's Cove, NL

Das ist Sally's Cove! 

Mein Dorf mit 17 Einwohnern. Direkt an der Kueste und ein 1/2 h Fussmarsch zu den Bergen. 

Ich wohne hier mit 3 Hunden im

 Haus und 2 Huskies draussen an der Leine. Und Frodo, unser Kater.

This is Sally's Cove!

My small town with 17 people. It's right next to the ocean and a 1/2 hour hike into the mountains.

I live here with 3 dogs inside and two Huskies are outside on the leash. Oh and Frodo, our cat.

Esto es Sally's Cove!

Mi pueblo chiquito con 17 habitantes. El mar queda ahi al lado y para llegar a las montanas no toca caminar mas q media hora.

Vivo aca con 3 perros en la casa y dos Huskies afuera. Y con Frodo, el gato.

Huskies sind echt beeindruckende Tiere. Jenna hier hat sich einfach ein kleines Loch gegraben unterwegs und hat da gemuetlich geschlafen, waehrend wir uns alles abgefrohren haben. Ihre Pfoten haben die Groesse meiner Hand und wenn sie auf ihren Hinterpfoten steht kommt sie nah an meine Groesse.

Huskies are incredible animals. Jenna here digged a little hole for herself and slept very comfortably while we froze our butts off.

Her paws are the size of my hands and when she stands on her back paws she's just about as tall as I am.

Huskies son unos animales muy cheveres! Jenna se hizo un hueco en la nieve y durmio delicioso mientras nosotros teniamos las manos y pies helados.

Sus patas tienen el mismo tamano como mis manos y cuando se para en sus patas de atras casi tiene la misma altura como yo.

Suluk ist bissle kleiner, aber auch wunderschoen! Eine meiner Aufgaben war die beiden vor nen Schlitten zu spannen und sie etwas fuer ihre Schlittenhundekarriere zu trainieren. Harte Arbeit!!!

Suluk is a little bit smaller but also very beautyful! 

Sometimes I hooked them up to a little seld and tried to train them a little bit for dogsledding. Very hard work!!!

Suluk es mas chiquita q Jenna pero tambien muy linda!

A veces las puse delante de un trineo e intente entrenarlas para "dogsledding". Un trabajo muy duro!!!

Und so siehts um Sally's Cove aus. In 10 min Laufweite liegt ein zugefrorener See und im Hintergrund sieht man die Waende eines tollen und riesigen Fjords der bissle weiter noerdlich von hier liegt.

And this is how it looks like around Sally's Cove. In a 10-min-walkdistance there is a frozen little lake and in the background you can see the walls of the huge fjiords which are just north from here.

Y asi se ve el paisaje al rededor de Sally's Cove. Depues de caminar por 10 minutos uno llega a una laguna tapada con hielo. Los montes atras son las paredes de un "fjord" gigante q queda un poquito al norte de aca.
